Distance Learning Update: Week 55/18/2020 Hello students and parents of Graphic Design 2!
This week, students will be continuing work on their infographic posters. By now, we have completed research, gathered images, created a rough sketch for the layout, made a digital layout, and started to create assets for the posters. Week 5 will be a continuation of the production of the assets for the posters- icons, graphs, charts, header/footer elements, background designs, and a central figure. By the end of the week, students will submit their completed assets collected together on a single artboard by Friday for feedback by Monday. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns! Best, Mr. Ensz

Distance Learning Update: Week 45/11/2020 Hello Graphic Design 2!
To hope everyone had a great weekend. This week, students will continue their infographic poster production process. Last week, everyone should be created a digital mock-up from their poster sketches/collages using basic shapes and aligning work to a grid. This week, students will take that basic layout and begin to craft the illustrative elements, icons, charts, and graphs that make up the content of their poster. This is the first week of a two week process that will lead into layout and typography. During week one, students will have the goal of completing all vector elements for one of the posters. During week two, the goal is to complete all vector elements for the second poster. The week 4 schedule includes strategies for where to start and how to begin, as well as a discussion about developing visual identity. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Office hours will be this Thursday and Friday from 12-1:30pm. As always, stay healthy and have fun! Best, Mr. Ensz |
